The abbreviated copper nanotube

A chemistry paper built on the world of carbon nanotubes, commonly abbreviated as CNTs, and talked of nanotubes made from copper, the chemical symbol for which is Cu…it’s notorious among chemists and materials scientists.

UPDATE: I’ve used the phrase “the abbreviated copper nanotube” to refer to that spray-tanned twitter moron who was somehow given the keys to the Whitehouse, but whose time is thankfully almost up.

How the abbreviation got passed by the journal’s editors and its technical editors and proofreaders we may never know, it’s bizarre. It must surely cause problems in databases to this day…
